Paulo is a visionary painter who lives and works in Southern New Mexico. He draws upon personal experiences relating to the transcendent potential within human consciousness. His work is guided by intuition, environment and imagination. Creating imagery that is Earthy, vibrant, surreal and abstract with an often spiritual presence in the mix. He weaves quite magnetically from nature, medicinal plants, indigenous wisdom, the human condition and what he refers to as “practicing presence”. A recent solo exhibition of his work held in Las Cruces, garnered great public attention and critical acclaim. Setting forth further creative expansion within the land of enchantment. When not immersed in painting and photography, he also enjoys moonlighting as a disc jockey for various social events within his community. As of present, Paulo is developing new material for yet another upcoming solo exhibition he intends to manifest in 2027. We look forward to seeing more innovative work from this visionary soul.
